What I felt is that the old people are neglected in our
world. They did everything to grow their children and worked hard day and night
so that coming generation will not have to struggle and face the same hardships
they went through.
But, when they grow old they feel neglected, isolated, left
behind where they suffer loneliness, illness, depressed and suppressed. They
feel their freedom is contained; they are living with the choice of life
imposed on them. They are left with no one to listen to, it just seems to them
that the world has changed so differently that all of their children and neighbors
are just busy in their job and hardly gets time to spend and care to the elders
who once were by their side all the time when they were children.
They have got huge family, many got good education and
living in cities and towns and have job and family. They had a mighty task to
work hard and the time had given them obligation to sacrifice their living and
comfort so that they can save every penny for their children education because
the education will open door to prosperity in family and so in the community
they live in.
Their children indeed got education, and even after
education they did not rest, they rushed to meet all their contacts so that
they can seek suggestion for planning career ahead and any job they can assist
to get for him.
After job, they did not rest; they tried to get their
children married so that they will have good family to support their life and
career.
This is what they dreamt of and so they got it. They are
happy that their children somehow are placed better and working hard but not
facing the kind of hardship and deprived of money and education.
But the unfortunate is after all those painful hardship,
which was not painful but it was pain they cherished because they are driven by
hope and faith in future they are working for. After all those suffering they
are old now left alone no one to care them, this is indeed very disgraceful,
painful and horrible.
But, the good part here is the community again, they still
have got friends and loyal partners who are giving them care to their own
capacity which is not enough but they are somehow able to manage.
They live their life on hope, praying to God and wiait for
their time of death.
This is just unfair and unfortunate. They don’t deserve
this. They did no harm to no one, not to tier children where they always want
their son to have greater career, daughter to have good life partner and in
laws. They have lots of family values.
Why can’t we have some organization who bring all the small
happiness at their door step, where we listen to them, get inspired from the
values they embrace, and bring new generation connected to the deep rooted
values.

Even if they have money they don’t know how to use it and no
one to advice but to cheat from them.
Also, there are some neighbors who really want to help but
they don’t have time and miss the opportunity to help.
I have got the model that absolutely works at no cost, with
part time volunteers who are passionate to bring difference in community which
was built on the foundation of our grand ma and pa.
Through this organization we will share our love to them,
purchase all small things they want, gift them... and provide helpline and
study material so that they learn new things, get news update…
We bring pool of health workers who will do regular visit atleast
once a month and do checkups and give them free medicine.
We will pool the contribution funds so that they directly go
far the case of grand ma and pa. Rather than giving them money, we will give
them service.
We will keep touch of close friends, relatives, volunteers
and contributors so that they can provide their support through our
organizations.
The contribution is directly to the members and no funds
will be used otherwise.
The purpose of funds will be identified and we will ensure
that funds get utilized.
There are lots of good heart people who want to do something
for the community but they don’t know how to make it happen
